Happy 4th of July! Today is the one year anniversary I also wrote that post last year on this same day. Last year, we watched the fireworks outside the church, and this year is probably going to be different where we watch it. As I said last year, the stupid mosquitoes sting me all over my body. Some of them already stung me all over my legs when I was outside hanging the laundry. Dad's not here and he's on a business trip to Africa, but I hope he remembers today is Independence Day. Last year, I was all like "I don't know how people blast fireworks in the sky," but I've changed and gotten smarter since then.
Last year, me and my brother were lying on the grass during the fireworks, and my mom and dad were so worried that mosquitoes will sting us. We were all like, "No they won't!" My mom will make a barbecue tonight. We already went shopping and bought some corn to eat. This is going to be awesome. :)

One Year Anniversary
What's up? Jasmine here.
I can't believe it's been one year since I made this blog. Time flies by quickly. It seems like only last night I was sitting here blogging. Oh, the joy of last summer. I can't believe how much I've changed in one year.
Last summer, it's like all I wrote was about Avatar. Now that I got over that, I just write random posts whenever I feel like it. It seems funny that I used to say the word "Avatar" every day last summer, and I have not said a word about it this summer. It is so unbelieveable how people can change in only one year.
I go to this summer class now, that has math, science, and cooking in it. I go to it on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. No wonder I haven't been blogging so much as often. I'm so busy with homework in that class.
So that's it for now.

School's Out
What's up? Jasmine here.
YES! Today was the last day of school. I'm finally done with exams, TAKS, and schoolwork. All I need to do next is throw out my binder. This summer will be a lot of swimming, fun, and excitement. I'm going to be in a new school next year. It's so exciting to even think about it. I'm going to prepare for 8th grade this summer also.
And I passed all of my TAKS exams. I got commended on Writing, with a 2493, which mean a 95%. I got a 2149 on Reading, and a 2177 on math. I did higher on the math than last year.

School Year Almost Over
What's up? Jasmine here.
This school year's almost over. Only less than a month left of school. It feels like only 5 months ago it was September, when it was 8 months! We might be moving to Houston this summer also. We are gonna go online and find a new home. This summer is really gonna be fun.

Done With TAKS
What's up? Jasmine here.
Phew! What a RELIEF. I am finally done with TAKS. It was so easy! I'm pretty sure I passed both of them. The math was a little bit hard, but the reading was easy. One of the stories in the reading was about a girl who tries to impress her mom by wanting to go in the track team, but months later her grades fall. The TAKS results will come out by the end of May. We also did a Writing TAKS in March which I think I got commended on. Writing is the easiest. I can't wait until the TAKS results come out.

Went to friend's house, 2 days til TAKS
What's up? Jasmine here.
Yesterday I went to my friend's house. We had so much fun! This is the first time ever I go to some one's house. We played Guitar Hero, talked with her, her sister and older brother, and ate dinner at there house. My mom and dad said to go to the mall with her, so today I'm calling her for us to go to Amazing Jakes. She's a really good friend. I'll also invite her over to my house. We can swim in my pool sometime, maybe this Friday.

I spoke to my friend at her house yesterday, and she said, "Oh my god, I'm so, like, totally freaking out." I agree with her! I HATE the TAKS. Why do we have to take it? All of my teachers and my parents say I'll do fine, and my math teacher says I might get commended. Like my friend, I'm totally freaking out. But I'll do fine.

Great Week, 8 days until TAKS

This week was great. I made some new friends at gym, and they're really nice. I also got an awesome grade on a math test. Probability is easy. Hardly anyone bothers me anymore. Can't you believe? Also report cards came out today. I made the A/B honor roll! Finally! Six more weeks until school ends. Thank god.

The TAKS test are exams you have to take every year in Texas to pass the school year. I studied a lot, so I'm sure I'll do good on it. This year we have reading, writing, and math. We already took the writing in March last month, and it was the easiest thing I have ever taken. I think I got like a 90% on it. Next year, we have Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Science. My hardest subject. I am so nervous for next year. But if I just study, I'll do perfect.
